
Durga Prasad Baral
Durga Prasad Baral is an accomplished Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) expert with over 30 years of distinguished experience in the field. He holds a PhD from Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED), where his doctoral research—conducted under the ETH Zurich-led LELAM (Linking Education and Labour Market) project—focused on "Informal Skills Learning: Case Study of Small-Sized Enterprises in Nepal."
Since 2018, he has been instrumental in shaping future leaders in the TVET sector by teaching Master’s level courses in TVET Administration & Leadership and Human Resource Development. His expertise spans curriculum design, policy advisory, and the implementation of impactful training programs that bridge the gap between youth skills and meaningful employment opportunities.
In addition to an M.Phil. in Educational Leadership, he also holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Airport Construction), bringing a unique interdisciplinary perspective to his work. His extensive professional background includes major contributions to the development sector, with a strong emphasis on conflict sensitivity and sustainable development.
